Monday, December 13th, 2010I know I’ve been scarce lately. This has been my craziest/busiest Christmas season yet. I’m very thankful to God for the lesssons in my life, for my job and most importantly for my family. I thank you, my clients for an awesome 2010. I’ll be choosing 2 families for free sessions and prints. There is a catch… but this time you don’t have to post my website link on facebook on your wall or comment to any post of mine. This time, I want you to send me an email nominating a family that is special to you… someone that you know would cherish family portraits and who can’t afford custom photography right now.
It only takes one tradgedy or death in a family, whether it’s your own family or someone you know, to make you realize just how important and cherished family photos are. And I’d like to help provide those to a couple of families who otherwise might not be able to buy them for themselves.
E-mail me now and tell me what family you’d like to nominate for a complimentary session! And tell me a little about them! They will receive the session, a copy of all proofs and a custom print collection.

Tuesday, October 19th, 2010What a busy, BUSY time of the year?! And I *love* it! There are lists and lists of things on my calendar for the remainder of 2010. But at the top of that list is thanking God for all the blessings in my life. Next on the list is spending time with my family whenever I can! {Cherish every single moment and take pictures when you can!}
Yesterday, Alex helped me make chicken and dumplings! Today, we’re going to make an apple pie. And last Sunday, my two talented guys got out in the backyard and carved a pumpkin! Here’s Alex and Shane’s (free handed) masterpiece…

Thursday, October 14th, 2010Don’t forget about the fall photo day TOMORROW, October 15th from 1-7pm! You can dress your children in their Halloween costumes, in their new fall outfits, Christmas outfits… anything goes! It’s totally up to you! And we can get your shot in the studio or outdoors! One shot per collection and all collections must be paid for tomorrow.
All profits go to the Mt. Zion Youth Fund to fund our trip to The Connect Conference in December!

Tuesday, September 28th, 2010I’ve been trying to decide on an image for the frame in my office/waiting area. It’s SUCH a work in progress. I can’t wait to have all of my furniture but in the meantime… this is what I’ll be ordering for the wall!

The frame is a gold one from hobby lobby (reg $100 but purchased during their 50% off sale!)… and a can of black spray paint! Gotta love spray paint!!

Wednesday, September 22nd, 2010Wow. Sometimes I really feel like my head is spinning. No, I mean really! I feel like my life is zooming by! I’m blessed beyond measure. Really I am. I’m somewhat speechless… it’s all in there. It’s just hard to get it out! ha… I really don’t feel worthy of this life that God has given me.
Happy Birthday, Hannah!! {still your birthday for one more hour as I’m writing this} We first met in August 2005! Yes… 2005… more than 5 years ago. I was trying to build a photography business back then. I had been shooting friends and family for about a year when I got a call from Stephanie. I almost cancelled our appointment. I had some personal issues the night before and was having a very “off” kinda day. But taking pictures of sweet Hannah just MADE my day! It was awesome and Stephanie was SO nice! It was the beginning of my journey to meeting new clients… new friends. Because really, I love chatting with the parents almost as much as I love shooting the kids! Sorry parents, you just can’t top “cute” and “loaded with personality”!
I’m so glad that I kept that appointment back in August of 2005. Stephanie & Hannah really marked the beginning of my journey… my first “stranger clients” as I often refer to them! And now, great friends!!!
I’m so thankful for God’s plan in my life.
