Happy or Solemn…  I love it all!  And these images of Harper were some of my faves.  Just some of them though because I had so many of her and Ms. AK!

I love the simple looks that showcase the best part of the session… your child!  But that’s not to say that props don’t have their place either!  I have new baby legs (see my homepage!) and pettiskirts that are proving to be lots of fun for little girls… they give them super twirling abilities!  ;)

More of Ms. H and AK later!

They are here!

I mentioned a few days ago that I’m planning a day of Christmas Mini Sessions.  We can’t have Christmas mini sessions without the cards!  I’m offering 2 different collections for 2008…  you may choose from the more traditional Deck The Halls Collection or the modern and fun Holly Jolly Collection.

All cards have a front and back design with the option to add additional images or text such as your favorite scripture or quote!  All 2008 cards are 5×7 or 5×5.

There is a minimum purchase of 25 cards.

Set of 25 – $2.50 per card
Set of 50 – $2.25 per card
Set of 75 – $2.00 per card

Each card may be printed on fine art linen paper, on standard semi-gloss paper or with UV coating at no additional cost.

Waiting

Thursday, August 28th, 2008

It’s no secret… my favorite shots are often not the posed ones.  We were waiting to walk to the church for the ceremony…

Prayer Request

Wednesday, August 27th, 2008

I met Daniel through a good friend a few years ago.  Since then, we’ve all gotten together a few times…

He was diagnosed with cancer a couple of months ago.  He just found out yesterday that the cancer is metastasized to his right hip now and he will undergo surgery tomorrow.  Please pray for him… pray that the pain is lessened and if it is God’s will, that he be healed from this awful disease.

Daniel is special.  He’s a great guy and is such an inspiration in our lives.  He’s fighting this fight and continues to serve our God.  He’s amazing.  I often count my blessings here.  And Daniel is one of them…  His words are a blessing to me.  And I know that you’ll receive a blessing from them as well.  I encourage you to read his blog…

Please pray for him.  Pray for the pain to ease and pray that our Father’s Will be done…

Jeremiah 29:11  "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Timeline

  • 5:20 Alarm is beeping.
  • 5:24 I really need to get up.
  • 5:28 I have to get a shower before Shane gets up to get ready for work.  {Crawl reluctantly out of bed}
  • 5:35 Standing in the shower and I’m mad because it’s early and I’m tired.  I want to go back to bed.  And then I realize…

I’m incredibly blessed to be able to get out of my bed at 5:28.  I walked to the shower.  I’m getting up to take care of my family.  I fix Shane’s lunch for the day.  I have a wonderful husband.  I have 3 precious children who brighten my days.  And then I’m thankful for what I have and getting up wasn’t so bad after all.  {thank you, Lord for the reminders}

Family is so important!  And I’m always happy to shoot family sessions!  I had fun with this one… kids have such personality and these were no exception!  Here are a few of my personal faves…

2 Weeks

Sunday, August 24th, 2008

Seriously.  It’s been almost 2 weeks since I’ve written.  Yep, it’s been that crazy.  So much going on and you’ll be hearing about it all within the next few weeks.  I’m working on Christmas sessions (it will be here before we know it!!), 09 Seniors, Mini-session at the Christmas Market, and the list goes on…

I’m also trying to catch up on sessions (proofing) and 2 August Weddings!  I love weddings.  That is something I never thought I’d be saying.  But with every wedding we do (Shane is my second-shooter), we feel like our family grows.  We’ve been blessed to have fabulous relationships with our brides & grooms (and we thank you for that)!

And speaking of family, I had SUCH fun with this one!  Laura, it was so nice meeting your family…  Even with the heat and humidity so awful, I had a great time!  All of the kids are as cute as can be!!  And your new house and yard is beyond fabulous!!

I just wanted to update you all!  If you’re looking for your galleries (Laura & SueAnne!)… I hope to have them up today or tomorrow! I apologize for the delay!!

Shane and I shot a wedding this weekend.  We had so much fun!!  I have so much to say about it… (the weather was perfect, the bride was beautiful!!) But I’ll try not to ramble on too much.  For now, here is a little peek (a night time shot of the couple heading to The Verandah for the reception)…

More to come in the next couple of weeks!

Kids Will Be Kids

Thursday, August 7th, 2008

And babies will be babies.  Dads will be Dads. (sorry Dads, but as a group… you don’t like having your picture made) ;)   I want sessions to be relaxed, so I try my best to go with the flow…

Sadie was DONE with me… she was much more interested in eating the paper!

Collages

Tuesday, August 5th, 2008

I am now offering collages in 2 sizes… 15×15 and 12×12!  Each collage comes mounted and sprayed for protection.  This means you can frame them (without glass) or put them on a decorative easel…

I had promised to share more of Brooks (this sweet little man!)…  He was SO cute at this session.  We’d sit him on the backdrop with the blocks and he’d spin around facing the back… it was too, too cute!!  I thought this collage really told a "story" about our time together.  And this last image of the collage really says, "the end".  ha ha…

Doll

Monday, August 4th, 2008

That’s what she is… an absolute doll!  I first met Sara Michael and her big sister, Madison Rose in January!  Ms. Sara Michael came back to see me and wow, has she grown!  But she’s just as beautiful as ever!  This was from our session in January..

And from our most recent session…

More of this baby doll…

I was really amazed by Sara Michael.  She was the most laid back baby, or so it seemed at our session!  She had teeth coming in and wasn’t feeling well that day, but you could hardly tell!  What a sweetie!
