Nothing Greater Than Family!

Saturday, September 29th, 2007

Fam1 I’m sure most of you know from my recent name change that I was married earlier in the summer.  Well, with that marriage came a whole new family!  I have nieces and a nephew now… it’s GREAT!  They are precious and I recently had a session with them!  We did sibling shots, cheerleading shots, 1st Birthday shots…  all kinds of FUN stuff!

Fam5"You don’t choose your family.  They are God’s gift to you, as you are to them." ~Desmond Tutu

This shot totally says "family" to me!  Gracie is playing with Cierra’s hair and Chase is looking at her like…  "WHAT is she doing now?!"  LOVE it!

And of course, I have picked some of my favorites of each of them!

And more of Gracie since she just turned the BIG 1 not long ago!

A Little Angel…

Monday, September 24th, 2007

Yep, she’s a little  angel.  M was SO sweet!  And who can resist those blue eyes and fabulous curls?!  I’d like an order of those!  :)   Her expressions were precious… you can see her beauty and her mischievousness!  What a fun session…

And I put together a storyboard from this session.  As soon as I opened the images from on the pier, I was singing…  "Walkin on sunshine…"  :)    Yeah, I’m kinda strange like that sometimes!  ha ha…

Creating your…   life as Art.

I’m *still* cracking up!

Thursday, September 13th, 2007

Ok, these two were SO much fun!  I know I say this all the time, but what personalities they have!!!!  I am still cracking up over some statements…   I hate sunshine.  and I hate squirrels.  All said with a twinkle in her eye!  :)   But you could certainly tell that she loved her big brother!

Here is a little togetherness…

And here are a couple of alone shots…

I’ll be out of town for a few days.  And of course, I will return with pictures!  But I also want to share more from this fun session when I return!  I hope you all have a great weekend!

Sweetest Little Feet!

Thursday, September 13th, 2007

L1_2I mean really…  have you ever seen such precious baby boy feet?  Logan is a doll… a real-life baby doll!  I had so much fun with him and his family.  He has an older look about him… reminds me a lot of Alex when he was a baby.  {And many people still say that Alex looks older than 5!}

L4We did family shots as well as letting Logan have all the spotlight!   In the last shot that you’ll see, I feel like I’m seeing him as he’ll be in 20 years…  he seems older than his 3 months.  Pictures will tell a story… And I’m proud to be here for the beginning of Logan’s story.

Ironic

Wednesday, September 5th, 2007

Ok, how’s this for irony?  lol…

Yesterday was a big day for us… a very important "session"!

The ultrasound tech was looking at the screen and the baby kept trying to curl up and get away from her!   The tech said, "She’s not very photogenic."  lol…  How funny is that?!  Her mommy is a photographer.  We’ll have to work on that.  Maybe she can be "trained" and if that doesn’t work… payments work nicely for her big brother and sister.  ;)

So, here are her first pictures…

Bigger is Better.

Saturday, September 1st, 2007

Bigger Ladies, we know that this applies to family room sizes and diamonds, but it also applies to your photographs!

Your memories.  Your art!

Ames was such a sweetie!  He has the most beautiful, sparkling blue eyes and to-die-for curly eyelashes (yes, I’m jealous!).  And it could be seen in the proofs… his absolute beauty.  But on the wall, as an 11×14…  wow.  {you may click the image to see a larger version and get a feel for what I’m talking about}

I’m sure that most of you can tell that my home is decorated with photographs.  I don’t want a landscape shot on the largest wall in my home.  I want a 20×24 of my children.

They are my life… as Art.
